I will preface this by saying, I did figure out the first part of my investment strategy a long time ago. I decided that I no longer wanted to owe money. For me, giving money to a credit card company in interest was ridiculous, I was throwing away the money I should have been using to invest. So, several years ago, I decided to pay off all my credit cards. I got a second job, as a massage therapist, and just started throwing money onto the tens of thousands in debt I had.
Recently, in fact this past week, I finally paid off all the money I owed. Hence, I now can start investing. I'm in my mid-forties, and we will see how quickly I can become rich, or at least put myself in a more financially sound place.
